The Boulder Lout was initiated after I got out of …..well, jail in 1995.  It was a way to not have to repeat a remarkably unfun story to family and acquaintances and tell about what was going on in my life (very, very little…less at eleven!), much in the manner of Holiday newsletters. 

While still under the gimlet eye of Probation (well, I don’t think I ever met a couple of my Probation Officers.   I apparently was not a huge concern.), I decided to expand the Lout into a newsletter not only to family, friends, and creditors but also to the genial audience portion of KGNU which have weakly resisted my charms through the years.  This got to be expensive, printing up forty page editions and mailing them out.  So, enter with me now the Age of the Internet, and don’t wait for the book by Bill and Ethel Durant, because…...  Makeup! I’m dyin’ out here…….

The Lout is free, rather obviously, because of a heartfelt dedication to the First Amendment, a holy desire to be read, devout admiration of and respect for my audience, and an inability to fully master the concept of inflicting hypnotic and chronic credit card purchase over the WEB in my readers.  But I’m working on it.
