hospitals are going under.....

The massive disconnect against the American electorate by both political parties once again rears its ugly head in New York City. The Republican National Convention cheers its ‘Sir Lancelot’ with banners and music.

Underneath the hoopla, America’s hospitals and health care services bleed to death.

On August 13, 2004, Elastar Hospital of East Los Angeles closed its doors in bankruptcy with a $10 million debt. It’s one of three LA hospitals closing its doors to patients this year. "We cannot stand any more closures in an emergency system that is on the brink of absolute chaos," said Jim Lott, executive vice president of the hospital. "People are going to start dying. That’s basically what it amounts to."

Closures of three hospitals create greater stress on remaining hospitals.  "It’s the waiting time for people on a gurney that’s going to create a crisis," Carol Meyer said, Director of the LA County Emergency Medical Services Agency.

Tens of thousands are at risk.

Why are they closing? California harbors three million illegal aliens.

Tens of thousands of them swarm hospitals with anchor babies, diseases, accidents, murders, drug problems and worse. What do they have in common?  They do not pay.

Last year, 77 Border State hospitals approached bankruptcy but were bailed out when Arizona Senators John McCain and Kyle tacked on a $1.4 billion rider to the Medicaid Bill. However, that was not enough. With an estimated three to four million illegal aliens in California and one half million in Arizona, hospitals cannot maintain viability. They spiral downward into fiscal chaos.

In California alone, 300,000 anchor babies are born to illegal aliens annually. The problem of the uninsured is "like a gaping laceration that is hemorrhaging continuously," said Richard Brown, healthcare expert at UCLA.  A full third of 6.3 million uninsured live in LA with their numbers growing rapidly.

County hospitals lost the ability to serve 75,000 patients in the past 14 months. One official said, "We’re cutting off limbs to stay alive." His greatest fear is that a "chain reaction" could put thousands of American citizens at risk. Some waiting periods for ER wards reach four hours before anyone can see the suffering patient. Surviving hospitals tolerate greater patient loads that grow by the day. It’s a medical nightmare.

Where does this crisis leave American citizens? Nearly three thousand bled to death on 9/11 because the four previous presidents did not and would not enforce America’s sovereign borders. After 9/11, U.S. borders stand as open as a shopping mall. In the last three years, three million illegal aliens crossed America’s borders from Mexico and Canada. Most of them live in California. Most of them cannot pay for their medical needs.

Hospitals are forced to give them free care. Unfortunately, Americans who built the finest health care system in the world suffer from its destruction at the hands of Congress and the president.

George Bush touts his amazing four years in office at the Republican National Convention while Americans struggle in their own emergency wards in California and elsewhere in the nation. If ER wards keep closing, Americans can’t access critical care for their families. Make no mistake; democrats led by John Kerry also stand guilty of this medical nightmare.

Neither Bush nor Kerry has acted to stop the invasion of one million illegal aliens crossing the borders annually.

Ironically, an average of 4,200 legal immigrants adds to the population fiasco daily in America. Another 2,200 illegal aliens pop over our borders like a microwave out of control. The situation resembles a dog chasing its tail into futility and exhaustion. California grows by 1,500 people daily. Any wonder they’re in a budget crisis, gridlock crisis, crime wave, educational nightmare, water misery and unending sprawl? One look at California shows a net population pushed by immigration, both legal and illegal, to add 20 million within 30 years.

Will Bush III solve that crisis? Or will the Democrats come up with a brilliant plan?

What Americans cannot understand is why Bush and Kerry ignore this crisis not only hemorrhaging into America by the millions, but also siphoning this country to death financially while it destroys the health care system.

At what point, in this national campaign for the highest office in the land where Bush argues Kerry’s ‘Swift Boat’ adventures in Vietnam while Kerry argues Bush’s ‘AWOL’ adventures in the National Guard--will these two men make a stand on illegal immigration? When will they address what is really happening to Americans? Instead of the Hispanic vote, when will they address the American voter?

This immigration crisis destroys the foundation of this republic. When is enough immigration enough? Will California have enough viable hospitals added with another 20 million immigrants who can’t pay? When will Kerry and Bush examine the looming water crisis before those 20 million immigrants touch down in California? How will they deal with the massive crime wave carried out daily by the 20,000 member ‘18th Street Gang’ made up of illegal aliens? What will they do when 500,000 women come to America to birth their anchor babies annually? Who pays? Americans! When do we stop paying for what the polls say we do not want? We do not want illegal immigration!

When will Bush or Kerry represent U.S. citizens? In the meantime, we’re bleeding and dying in our own ER wards as we wait for hours for critical care. Bush and Kerry snipe at each other about ‘Swift Boats’ in Vietnam and ‘AWOL’ adventures in the National Guard. What a pair of presidential candidates! They are SO out of touch with this immigration invasion as if they were the two blind mice. They can’t see it, don’t want to see it, won’t deal with it and avoid it at the cost of the American public. In the meantime, America’s hospitals fall into the chasm of bankruptcy.
